Their services offer comprehensive resources and knowledge with how to best support newcomers. Cultural sensitivity training, family programs, and language services are just a few of what is provided. We encourage you to utilize their programs.
Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS)
Originally founded by refugees, this organization is community driven - responding to the needs of the community as they present themselves. The staff and teams come from many different countries and understand the hardship that settlement in Canada can be. Employment services, language programs, children’s programs, and family activities and many more are offered.
Intercultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA)
This settlement organization connects cultures to local organizations and services through a variety of programs, information and supports. Employment resources, language classes and community programs are just a few of the many services provided.
