A new feature added to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship of Canada website. This is a wonderful tool that allows you to check the process of the family’s application at any time. Information required for your inquiry will be: the ‘G’ or ‘UCI’ file number and the full name, date of birth and place of birth of the principal applicant.
The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) has created a very helpful guide for refugees to prepare for the interview while the family waits. This is a great resource to use before families are notified of their interview date and provides a way for the sponsorship group to help support them. Written in seven languages, there are links including what to do during and after the interview.
